PURPOSE: The purpose of the Commitment
Committee is to stimulate spiritual growth through sharing of God's gifts of
time, talent and finances.
TIME AND TALENT STEWARDSHIP:
- Promote year-round
time and talent stewardship.
- Inform members of time
and talent service opportunities.
- Help identify
spiritual gifts through congregational survey and other methods.
- Help the congregation
connect their gifts with some need in the church through committees.
- Maintain the Time and
Talent database.
- Provide an annual
celebration event for all volunteers.
FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP:
- Promote special gifts
and memorials.
- Conduct year-round
financial stewardship education.
- Keep Summit's future
dreams, goals and objectives before the congregation (e.g., building
program).
- Plan and execute an
annual pledge campaign. Report results to the Session.
